Champion future optometry students
The cost of an optometric education is high, but the rewards gained by working in this profession are priceless. Our students work hard to be the top graduates in the nation, and upon graduation they have the ability to use their knowledge to go into practice, work in an industry setting or pursue a career in academia.
In order to maintain our competitive advantage, we must focus on providing significant scholarship support to our students.
Your generosity to the Optometry General Scholarship fund will support students in all class years—from those top prospective student recruits to those in their fourth year who are completing their final rotations.
Scholarships account for an average of $2,500 per recipient, but the admissions team would like to increase that overall number in order to remain competitive with our peer institutions.
The Ohio State College of Optometry is a leader in optometric education. We recruit the finest faculty in the country, conduct impactful research, enjoy an engaged alumni network involved in all areas of the optometric profession and have a historic presence on Ohio State’s campus. In November, the college opened a new, state-of-the-art clinic facility that provides cutting edge patient care and solidifies the college as one of the best in the nation.
With your help, we can continue to provide for future generations of leaders in the optometric profession. Let’s champion the future of optometry by supporting our students.
