Support pharmacy students: the future of health care
Students in the College of Pharmacy are the future of health care. They will transform and improve patient health outcomes across the country and around the globe through work in pharmacy, biomedical sciences or drug discovery. However, the rising cost of tuition places a large burden on students. As part of the university’s strategic plan, we’re committed to helping our students with access, affordability and excellence while doing everything we can to help them pursue their passions and career goals. That means support for scholarships.
Our goal today, is to raise sufficient funds to provide a new scholarship to a deserving student in the fall of 2021. For today only, gifts to this scholarship fund will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $12,000. With your help, we can change a student’s life and help alleviate the burden of debt. The funds will help with tuition, books, room and board and laboratory fees.
More than 70 percent of students rely on loans and scholarships to pay for school. The average debt for graduates of four-year universities has nearly doubled since 2004, with more than two-thirds of students graduating with some level of debt. Scholarships help the college support students from diverse backgrounds, empower them to expand their career options and gain professional development rather than taking odd jobs to make ends meet.
Finances shouldn’t keep our students from achieving their dream of making a difference in the lives of others. Make a gift to support our students as they change the face of health care.
