Support the next generation of first-generation students at Ohio State Lima
In just four years, Ohio State Lima’s Generation One learning community has grown from 26 to 96 students. Generation One participants are first-generation college students who are co-enrolled in core courses and experience a team concept both in and out of the classroom. This provides a supportive network of fellow students, peer educators and professors for first-generation students. More than one-third of Ohio State Lima’s student population is made up of first-generation students and this program serves those at the heart of our open-access mission. More students are seeking out this encouraging program each year and we need your help to provide the resources necessary to ensure that the Generation One learning community makes its intended impact.
By supporting the Generation One learning community at Ohio State Lima, you will provide access to book scholarships, support to sustain peer-to-peer mentors, and the opportunity to participate in collaborative leadership training and community engagement initiatives. All of these resources will aid them in their educational journeys and lead to better outcomes.
