In our global society, we see the impact of health disparities and disease around the world, and Public Health Buckeyes want to make a difference. Our students are learning how to cross borders and build partnerships that will help enhance the quality of life for people here at home, and thousands of miles away.
Participating in field placements and research projects abroad is an immersive way to learn. Our students are bringing positive change in a variety of ways: treating HIV in Malawi, studying food production systems in Chile, creating interventions for dental diseases in Costa Rica, among many other successful outcomes.
Unfortunately, the cost of travel often prohibits our students from participating in these life-changing experiences. By helping Public Health Buckeyes complete projects abroad, you are investing in a healthy future for our world.
Your investment will help future public health leaders learn the skills they need to make a lasting impact on the lives of others.
Increasing funding will allow more students to access these important experiences and will enable Ohio State to play a more active role in solving public health crises across the globe.
During the Day of Giving you can double your gift impact to the College of Public Health’s Global Travel Fund. A generous donor, Johanna Destefano, is graciously matching Day of Giving gifts up to $10,000 so your gift will go farther. An investment in the Global Health Travel Program is an investment in a healthier world.
Are you staff or faculty? You can make your gift via payroll deduction.
