Ohio State Alumni Club of Butler County
The Butler County Endowment Fund would like to increase the number of annual scholarships that we provide to incoming freshman at the main campus of The Ohio State University. The endowment was established to provide scholarships to incoming freshman from our local Butler County High Schools.
Our scholarship committee reaches out to the 12 Butler County high school senior guidance departments in the fall of each year. The counselors will notify their senior class of our scholarships and provide them with the application and student information. We receive, then review, each application. We select the top eight or nine applicants for a personal interview.
The committee will rank each student based on the established Ohio State criteria and their interview. Currently, our endowment will provide three, one-time $1,500 scholarships to our top three candidates. Our club’s goal is to increase this one time amount or help by adding additional students each year.
We invite you and any Buckeye fan to support our scholarship. We see some of the brightest students from our county and we would like to support them even more. These young people are at the top of their respective classes. They would benefit from our scholarship and certainly be an asset to the Ohio State student community.
