Featured Fund for Day of Giving
The Office of Student Life’s Monda Student Resource Center opened in April 2025 to provide holistic support for students’ essential needs in a centralized and accessible location. The Monda Student Resource Center Fund helps sustain this incredible resource by connecting students to nutritious food through the Student Food Pantry; hygiene items and professional attire through the Reid Family Career Closet; and essential resources like grants, scholarships and housing support. Contributions to this fund help maintain a convenient on campus space within the Younkin Success Center and ensure the continued availability of high demand services such as fresh produce and pantry staples, personal care products like shampoo and deodorant, and a wide range of professional clothing offered through the Reid Family Career Closet. The MSRC enhances student well-being by providing coordinated access to resources that support academic success and meet essential needs.

Impact in Action
It’s hard to concentrate on statistics when your stomach is growling. It’s hard to ace a chemistry exam on an empty stomach. A donut for breakfast doesn’t take you far. In Ohio State’s 2025 Student Life Survey, 28.5% of students noted they have experienced food insecurity. This academic year, there have been more than 4,700 visits to the Student Food Pantry by more than 1,000 students – an indication that hunger is a daily reality for many students on campus. Support through the Student Food Pantry lessens the impact of food insecurity on academic performance, physical and mental health, and the sense of belonging that makes college life meaningful.
Additionally, access to affordable and stylish professional attire ensures every Buckeye can feel and perform their best during job fairs, interviews, internships, case competitions, networking events, and early in their careers after graduating. Professional attire varies widely, from traditional office wear to clothing suited for healthcare, agricultural fields, and student employment roles. Professional clothing is available to students at no cost through the Monda Student Resource Center’s Reid Family Career Closet and more than 450 students have made over 600 visits this academic year.
