Over two decades, the organization has generated more than $600,000 in scholarship support. This year’s generous $150,000 donor match doubles the impact of every gift and brings the endowment closer to being fully funded, ensuring ongoing support for future generations.
Impact in Action
Women & Philanthropy is proud to support two scholarship recipients, Ryleigh Brenamen-Trumbull and Abigail Ann Shibu, whose dedication to service and leadership exemplifies the university’s motto, Education for Citizenship. Each student was awarded $7,000 per year (totaling $28,000) in scholarship funding to meet significant financial need and empower their journey toward meaningful impact both on campus and beyond.
Ryleigh, a first-generation marketing major, enters Ohio State this fall having already raised over $29,000 to support ALS patients and research, a mission sparked by her grandmother’s diagnosis.
Abigail, pursuing a pre-health major in medicine, arrives with a global perspective shaped by multiple international relocations and a deep commitment to community building. As vice president of her high school’s National Honor Society, she helped organize food drives, lead service events and foster unity among her peers.
