What is the Ohio State Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is an inspiring event for Ohio State’s alumni, students and friends to come together and support current and future generations of Buckeyes. Join us on Tuesday, April 14, and make an impact.

When is it?

Early Giving will start Monday, March 23, 2026, and last until Saturday, April 11, 2026. Day of Giving will start Tuesday, April 14, 2026, and last for 24 hours, ending at 11:59 p.m. ET Tuesday, April 14, 2026. 

Why should I participate in Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is the perfect opportunity to join fellow alumni, family and friends in supporting Ohio State. With extra challenge dollars offered this year, your gift can be maximized, helping ensure even more support is unlocked for students, faculty and programs poised to make a difference. 

How do I make a gift?

When Day of Giving begins, you can click the "Give Now" button at the top of the website. If you've reached this page before or after the campaign, please click here  to make your donation. If you would like to make your gift by phone, please contact the Engagement Center at 614-292-2281. 

Can I make a monthly gift?

Yes. Monthly giving is an easy, automatic way to support The Ohio State University. It is convenient, customizable and environmentally friendly, and it helps ensure a steady source of funding for Ohio State. 


You can set up your monthly gift by credit card now, or the next time you make an online donation, choose “MONTHLY” from the “Frequency” section of our gift form. If you have further questions, please contact us.

Are you staff or faculty? 

If yes, you may choose to make your gift via payroll deduction.

What other ways can I get involved?

Help us spread the word! We want to reach as many Buckeyes as possible. Use your social media channels to help bring awareness to Day of Giving. For an easy way to share the event, you can become an ambassador here.

Do you accept matching gifts?

Yes. Click here to find out if your employer has a matching gift program.

What if I don't see the fund I want to support?

On the Giving page, select the department you’d like to support. Then scroll to the bottom of the list and choose “Other.” A text box will appear—enter the exact name of the fund you wish to donate to.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. Gifts are 100 percent tax deductible. After you make your gift, you will receive a confirmation email that can be used for tax purposes.

Are international gifts accepted? 

Yes, The Ohio State University Foundation accepts international gifts via credit card or check.

When will my credit card be charged? 

Your credit card will be charged immediately upon finalizing your gift on the site.

What is the institution’s Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number? 

The Ohio State University Foundation’s Tax ID Number is 31-1145986.
